We are seeking a motivated and proactive Garage Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the garage, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient workflow, and the achievement of business goals. A bit about us:
Over 40 years of history within the industry
- Based on Murrayfield Road, Leicester (LE3 1UW)
- We have 6 car and van ramps, 2 commercial pits and 2 MOT testing lanes for class 4, 5, and 7
- We cover maintenance contracts, repairs, servicing on commercial vehicles and cars with a continuous flow of MOTs

Overview:
Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000.00-£38,000.00 per annum
Additional pay:
- Bonus scheme

Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Retail sales: 3 year (preferred)
- Supervising experience: 3 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:
- Operational: Managing the daily operations of the garage, including overseeing the workshop and running the front desk.
- Staff Supervision & Training: Help lead, motivate, and support a team of technicians, service advisors, and administrative staff. Provide guidance on best practices and assist in training new team members.
- Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner. Assist with customer complaints or issues, providing appropriate solutions and escalating as necessary.
- Sales & Service Promotion: Actively drive sales of, MOTs, servicing, etc. Monitor and manage sales and help achieve performance goals.
- Stock Management: Assist with stock control, ensuring the availability of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for operations. Conduct regular stock checks and help manage ordering and replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work practices comply with health and safety regulations, as well as company policies. Promote a safe working environment for all staff and customers.
- Administrative Support: Assist in the management scheduling, invoicing, reports, and other administrative tasks.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and contribute ideas to increase operational efficiency, enhance the customer experience, and reduce costs.
- Support: Provide support in the overall management of the branch and ensuring continuity of operations.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in an automotive environment is highly preferred, ideally in a supervisory or management role within a service centre, garage, or main dealer environment.
- Leadership Skills: Strong ability to motivate and manage a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Customer Focus: Demonstrated experience in delivering exceptional customer service and the ability to manage customer relationships effectively.
- Sales Skills: Knowledge of sales processes and the ability to promote products and services to customers.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle operational issues and customer complaints, providing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Organisational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and handle a fast-paced work environment with attention to detail.
- Technical Knowledge (Essential): Basic knowledge of automotive systems and terminology is required.
